We wanted our farewell meal in Charleston to be memorable; Revival was the perfect choice. The very cool space might even have seemed cold but for the warm, friendly staff. The hostess set the tone that the rest of the staff echoed. They were informative, helpful, funny and friendly. Vic and Hannah took very good care that we had an exquisite meal paired with the perfect wine. We give the experience 11 stars out of 5.
I highly recommend this restaurant and dishes that we ordered; Low Country Pirlou, Halibut, and Chicken Roulade. The freshness of ingredients and flavor profiles were exceptional. The Low Country Pirlou had chunks of crab that I loved! The spices on the chicken roulade have nutty/curry flavor and the purple potatoes were great. We were split on the key lime pie. I really enjoyed it, as I usually don’t choose this dessert. It was the opposite for the other party who frequently orders. The service was great and the staff attentive. The atmosphere was modern and had artwork on the walls (and an art exhibition that connected). My husband recommends the fellas take a trip to the restroom. It made him chuckle.
Food was outstanding. We had lobster arancini, sweet potato gnocchi with pomegranate seeds, creamed corn, and for dessert, pumpkin cheesecake. Everything was delicious, served perfectly by our server Steven, who was so pleasant and helpful in our selections. He did not steer us wrong. So glad we chose this restaurant.
I had an amazing experience here! We stopped by the rooftop for drinks, appetizers, and lunch, and everything exceeded our expectations. I ordered a margarita, and my boyfriend had a Rum Runner—both were fantastic. The service was exceptional from the moment we sat down. We were greeted right away with water, and our server promptly took our drink and food orders without making us feel rushed. For starters, we ordered the chips trio with tortilla chips, guacamole, and queso, and it was delicious. The real standout, though, was the pork cheek tacos. They were absolutely incredible! The pineapple pico added the perfect sweet and tangy flavor that took them to another level. I honestly can't stop thinking about them. Between the excellent food, attentive service, and beautiful rooftop atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. I'd come back again and again!
This is second time we dined at Revival and love this restaurant. Our waiter Matt did everything he could to ensure we had a perfect dinner. He explained every item on the menu in detail and talked to the chef about changing an entree to meet dietary needs. The Low Country Pirlou is absolutely amazing. The Salmon had 3 excellent sauces and the Key Lime Pie was incredible. Absolutely delicious exquisite fine dining!
We loved Revival. The atmosphere is great, with exposed brick, big paintings, and a carpet that keeps the noise level down. Our waiter was great with recommendations, and had a couple of people trying a couple of wines. The food was excellent. I am vegetarian, but the others weren't, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.
This is a yop notch place. Victor was amazing. He helped us pick out a wine we loved and complimented our dinner. The she crab soup is amazing. The lowcountry pirlou is phenomenal. My next trip back here will be for the exact same thing....including having Vic as our server.
Staying at the Vendue hotel, tried Revival. Ambience seems good, stretch of hotel artworks. Staff are friendly and attentive. Do reservation for sure. The place can be quite noisy on certain peak hours and hard to talk or hear 7pm-9pm. I enjoyed Scallop from small dishes, the Halibut as main dish was ok, some bite were dull in taste, side dishes were all good. I enjoyed the key lime pie at the end. They know how to make it tastier in Chas.
We had the absolute BEST time at Revival. The food was delicious, the drinks were well balanced and expertly crafted, and most importantly, the staff was phenomenal. They gave our party a hand written card and a champagne toast to celebrate our bachelorette party and gave excellent recommendations for the menu and the area as we are just visiting. I cannot recommend this place enough. Our server, Dre was the very best! Definitely stop here and then go up to their rooftop for a lively crowd and breathtaking Charleston view. We will absolutely be returning!
Enjoying a fantastic dinner. The she crab soup was savory and stimulated the umami taste buds. Spouse had a flavorful sea bass. I had the scallops that were seared to perfection and was tender when chewing. Our server Dre was fantastic. She was attentive friendly. She checked on us often. The ambience was a perfect setting for an artistic dramatic decor with romantic lighting. It was a welcoming first dinner.
